     Franklin Gold Redcay was born on 3 Nov 1877 in Milton, Pennsylvania.9,10,11
     He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Turbut Twp., Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of his parents, Abraham Redcay and Susanna Gold.4 He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Milton, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of his parents.5 He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Milton, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of his parents.17
     Franklin married Lera R. Simons, daughter of John Henry Simons and Mary Catharine Riegel, on 28 Jan 1918 at the Methodist parsonage in Elmira, Chemung Co., New York, with Rev. Albert E. Legg officianting.12,13,14 They traveled to Elmira, about 100 miles north of Milton were both lived, to keep their marriage secret. But a week later a traveling salesman from there stopped in the shop where he worked and congratulated him, exposing the secret.12
     He was a watchmaker. He was working at the G. Dal Fox Jewelry store in Milton at the time of his marriage. in Milton.18,19,20,21
     Franklin registered for the draft for World War I on 12 Sep 1918, while living at 231 Park Ave., Milton, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, reporting he was employed as a watchmaker for G. Dal Fax, at 11 S. Front in Milton.3

He also reported working 45 weeks in 1949, earning $2,000 from his own business.28,29
     Franklin and Lera appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Milton, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, at 322 Academy Ave., enumerated 5 May 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm and they lived in the same house the year before.30
     Franklin died on 6 May 1950 in Mahoning, Montour Co., Pennsylvania, at age 72.15,16 He was buried on 9 May 1950 in Milton Cemetery, Milton, Pennsylvania.15
