Narrative:

     Rhoda Permela Catherine Adair was born on 1 Oct 1863 in Decatur Co., Iowa.7,8,9 She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Leon, Decatur Co., Iowa, in the household of her parents, James Adair and Elizabeth Newlin.17 She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Woodland Twp., Decatur Co., Iowa, in the household of her parents.18
     Rhoda married William Henry Jennings, son of Joshua H. Jennings and Elizabeth Bennett, on 30 Nov 1882 in Decatur Co., Iowa.10,11,12
     Rhoda and William appeared on the 1885 State Census of Woodland Twp., Decatur Co., Iowa. Their children Elizabette and Marion were listed as living with them.19 They appeared on the 1895 State Census of Woodland Twp., Decatur Co., Iowa. Their children Elizabette, Marion, Cora, Effie, Mary, Letha, Jessie and William were listed as living with them.20
     Rhoda and William appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Jackson Twp., Lucas Co., Iowa, enumerated 5 Jun 1900. Their children Elizabette, Marion, Cora, Effie, Mary, Letha, Jessie, William, James and Walter were listed as living with them.21
     Rhoda and William moved to Missouri with most if not all their children by 1904. They appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Stanberry, Gentry Co., Missouri, enumerated 23 Apr 1910, reporting that were renting their home. Their children Cora, Letha, William, James, Walter, Iva, Delbert and Edith were listed as living with them, as were Burton E. Cain, widower of their daughter Elizabeth, and his daughters Ida and Grace. Their son Marion and his wife were apparently living nearby, as they were listed as the second preceding household.22
     Rhoda and William appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Cooper Twp., Gentry Co., Missouri, enumerated 31 Jan 1920, reporting that they were renting their home. Their children Walter, Iva, Delbert and Edith were listed as living with them.23
     Rhoda died on 26 Jan 1930 in Stanberry, Gentry Co., Iowa, at age 66.13,14 She was buried on 28 Jan 1930 in High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry, Gentry Co., Missouri.15,16
