     Harvey Samuel Kitts was born on 12 Sep 1906 in Wayne Co., West Virginia.6,7,8
     Harvey appeared with his mother on the 1910 Federal Census of Wayne Co., West Virginia, in the household of Joseph R. Davis and Margaret [surname unknown], his mother's parents.14
     His father died before 1915, when Harvey was about at an unknown age old.15 His maternal grandmother was appointed as his guardian on 5 Jan 1916.15
     Harvey appeared with his three brothers and their sister on the 1920 Federal Census of Wayne Co., West Virginia, in the household of Margaret, his maternal grandmother. His mother and her new husband were apparently living close by as they are listed in the second preceding household.16
     He moved to Ohio with his mother and stepfather before 1930. He appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Rittman, Wayne Co., Ohio, in the household of his mother.17
     Harvey married Myrtle I. Morris, daughter of LeRoy Morris and Zenie Daugherty, in 1932 in Wooster, Ohio.9,10
     Harvey and Myrtle appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Rittman, Wayne Co., Ohio, enumerated 3 May 1940, reporting that they were renting their home, for $12 per month, and had lived in the same town in 1935. Their children Charles, Rosie and Olin were listed as living with them.18
     He was a cooper in a salt works in 1930. By 1940 he was a packer in a salt factory. That year he reported he had worked 38 hours the last week of March, and 52 weeks the prior year, earning $1,279.19,20,21 Harvey registered for the draft for World War II on 16 Oct 1940, while living at 10 Salt St., Rittman, Wayne Co., Ohio, reporting he was employed by the Ohio Salt Company.3
     Harvey drafted into the U.S. Army at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana, on 31 Mar 1944, as a private. He was released from the service 22 May 1945.22,23
     After the War he worked on a loading gang at a salt factory, reporting in the 1950 census he had worked 40 hours the prior week.24
     Harvey and Myrtle appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Rittman, Wayne Co., Ohio, at 28 Salt St., enumerated 20 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm. Their children Charles, Rosie and Olin were listed as living with them.25
     His wife died on 3 Sep 1973 in Orrville, Wayne Co., Ohio.26,27,28
     Harvey died on 22 Aug 1979 in Wadsworth, Medina Co., Ohio, at age 72.11,12 He was buried in Rittman Cemetery, Rittman, Wayne Co., Ohio.13
