Narrative:

Lina Marie Schriever was born on 25 Oct 1895 in Nienburg, Königreich Hannover.5,6,7
Lina arrived in New York on 4 Jun 1913, aboard the Barbarossa, having departed Breman 22 May. She was traveling third class. She reported her occupation as nurse, and that she was planning to joining her brother-in-law, living on 25th St., in New York.14,15,16
Lina married Ray Dell Rockefeller, son of Albert Rockefeller and America Isabella Brownlee, in 1916.8,9,10
Lina and Ray appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania, at 5325 Delancey St., enumerated 20 Jan 1920, in the household of his younger brother Charles, his wife Adaline, and their children. Lina and Ray's children were apparently omitted in error. They are not found elsewhere, and there is no reason to believe they were not living with their parents.17
Lina applied for a passport 4 Jan 1921 in Philadelphia, while living at 413 Richmond St. She stated that her mother was seriously ill and she wanted to see her before she died. She said she was taking her children, Harold and Amie, and planned to sail aboard the "first boat available to Germany." The passport was approved three days later in Washington.18 They returned aboard the USS United States, arriving in New York on 21 Jun 1921, having departed from Copenhagen 10 June.19
Lina and Ray have not been found in the 1930 census, but they were living in Eldon, Missouri, by then. By Oct 1930 they were well enough established that she entertained the Stone-Webster Bridge Club there.20 It was apparently his work on power plants that brought then there. He appears in the 1933 city directory as a foreman for Union Electric Light and Power Co., who operated the hydroelectric plant at nearby Lake of the Ozarks.21
Lina made another trip to Europe in 1933. She returned to New York on 26 Jul 1933 aboard the S.S. Bremen, having departed Bremen 20 July. She reported her home address as 8244 Olympia St., Eldon, Missouri.22
Lina and Ray appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania, at 921 Pratt St., enumerated 21 Apr 1940, reporting that they owned a home valued at $3,400. Their children Harold and Dorothea were listed as living with them. They reported that they had lived at Wheeler Dam, Alabama in 1935.19
Lina and Ray appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Calvert, Cecil Co., Maryland, enumerated 4 Apr 1950, reporting they lived on a farm.23
Lina died on 26 Jul 1967 at age 71.3,11 She was buried on 29 Jul 1967 in Brick Meeting House Cemetery, Calvert, Cecil Co., Maryland.12,13
