     Ralph Tyler Mims was born on 11 Sep 1880 in Douglassville, Cass Co., Texas.8,9,10
     He moved with his parents to Moore Co., in the northwest corner of the Texas Panhandle, in May 1892.16,17
     His mother died on 9 May 1899, when Ralph was 18 years old.18,19,20 He moved to Nolan Co. with his father, shortly afterwards.21 He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Sweetwater, Nolan Co., Texas, in the household of his father.4
     Ralph married Maggie Arena Bradford, daughter of W. M. Bradford and Eliza Holly, about 1902.11,12,13,14
     Ralph and Maggie appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Sweetwater, Nolan Co., Texas, enumerated 27 Apr 1910, reporting they owned their home, free of mortgage. Their children William, Susan and Luetta were listed as living with them, as was his father.22
     He was a salesman in a grocery store by 1910. By 1920 he was a operating his own shoe repair shop.23,24 He registered for the draft for World War I on 12 Sep 1918, while living on Bowie St., Sweetwater, Nolan Co., Texas, reporting he was a self-employed shoemaker in Sweetwater.1
     Ralph and Maggie appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Sweetwater, Nolan Co., Texas, at 102 Bowie St., enumerated 12 Feb 1920, reporting they owned their home, free of mortgage. Their children William, Susan and Luetta were listed as living with them.25
     Ralph and Maggie moved to a farm in a rural area outside of Sweetwater before 1930. They appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Nolan Co., Texas, enumerated 8 Apr 1930, reporting they owned their farm and they owned a radio.26
     Ralph and Maggie appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Nolan Co., Texas, enumerated Apr 1940, reporting that they owned their home, and had lived in the same house in 1935.27
     Ralph registered for the draft for World War II on 27 Apr 1942, while living in Nolan Co., Texas, reporting he was self employed.28
     He was a farmer by 1930, operating his own farm. In 1940 he reported he has worked 72 hours the last week of March, and 50 weeks the prior year. He was also involved with real estate.29,30,31,32
     Ralph died on 7 Sep 1958 in Sweetwater, Nolan Co., Texas, at age 77, at his home.3,15 He was buried on 9 Sep 1958 in Sweetwater, Texas.3
