     Nancy Alice Terhune was born in Sep 1859 in Illinois.8,9,10 She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of St. Marie, Jasper Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents, James B. Terhune and Martha Cobb.14 She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Willow Hill, Jasper Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents.15 She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Jackson Twp., Indiana in the household of her parents.6
     Nancy married Charles P. Watts about 1889.11,12,13
     Nancy and Charles P. Watts appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Newton, Jasper Co., Illinois, enumerated 18 Jun 1900, reporting that the family owned its home. Her mother, Martha Cobb, was listed as living with them.16
     Nancy and Charles appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Newton, Jasper Co., Illinois, at Decator St., enumerated 20 Apr 1910, reporting that the couple owned their home. Daisy and Lolla Bruner, ages 11 and 15 were listed as living with them. They appear to be his nieces, though the entry is confused.17
     Nancy and Charles apparently adopted Dorsey Watts between 1910 and 1920. He appears with them at age 21 in the 1920 census, but is not found with them in 1900 or 1910.18,19,20
     Nancy and Charles appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Newton, Jasper Co., Illinois, at Decator St., enumerated 13 Jan 1920, reporting that they owned its home. Their son Dorsey was listed as living with them.21
