     Elizabeth Cobb Terhune was born on 18 Mar 1849 in Aurora, Indiana.7,8,9
     She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Marion Twp., Decatur Co., Indiana, in the household of her parents, James B. Terhune and Martha M. Cobb.18
     She moved to Illinois with her parents about 1858.19 She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of St. Marie, Jasper Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents.20 Elizabeth was probably one of the three females age 10 to 20 listed in the household of her father on the 1865 State Census of Willow Hill, Jasper Co., Illinois.21
     Elizabeth married Simon W. Bruner, son of Benjamin H. Bruner and Eleanor Smith, on 18 Mar 1868 in Jasper Co., Illinois.10,11,12
     Elizabeth and Simon settled in Illinois after their marriage. They appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Willow Hill Twp., Jasper Co., Illinois, enumerated 21 Jul 1870, reporting no real or personal estate. Their son Melvin was listed as living with them.22
     Elizabeth and Simon appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Willow Hill Twp., Jasper Co., Illinois, enumerated 11 Jun 1880. Their children Melvin, Arthur, Alfred and Harry were listed as living with them, as was his father.23
     Her husband died on 4 Jan 1894.24,25
     Elizabeth applied for a widow's pension based on her late husband's Civil War service on 15 Jan 1894, which was approved 8 Dec 1894, for $12 per month. Her pension was increased to $25 effective in 1917, to $30 in 1920, and to $40 in 1928.26,27
     Elizabeth appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Liberty, Jasper Co., Illinois, enumerated 4 Jun 1900, reporting she rented her home. Their children Lee were listed as living with them Her children Walter were listed as living with her.28
     Elizabeth appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Willow Hill, Jasper Co., Illinois, enumerated 15 Apr 1910, reporting she owned her home, free of mortgage. Her granddaughter Lucile, age 12, daughter of her son Arthur, was listed as living with her.29
     Elizabeth appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Willow Hill, Jasper Co., Illinois, enumerated 6 Jan 1920, reporting she owned her home, free of mortgage. Her son Lee was listed as living with her.30
     Elizabeth appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Willow Hill, Jasper Co., Illinois, enumerated 12 Apr 1930, reporting she owned a home valued at $800, and did not own a radio. Her children Arthur and Lee were listed as living with her.31
     Elizabeth died on 3 Dec 1930, at her home, Willow Hill, Jasper Co., Illinois, at age 81.13,14,15 She was buried on 5 Dec 1930 in Mound Cemetery, Hunt City, Jasper Co., Illinois.16,17
