     Almyra Tremain was born on 3 Apr 1810 in Genesee Co., New York.4,5,6
     Almyra married Dyar Cobb, son of Joshua Cobb and Nancy Crawford, on 11 Nov 1830 in Decatur Co., Indiana, with William Fowler, jsutice of the peace, officiating.7,8
     She was probably the female age 30 to 40 listed in the household of her husband, Dyar Cobb, in the 1840 Federal Census of Decatur Co., Indiana.13
     Almyra and Dyar appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Decatur Co., Indiana, enumerated 6 Aug 1850, reporting real estate valued at $3000. Their children Nancy, Sophronia, Harry, Jasper and Newton were listed as living with them, as were 9-year-old John Treman, apparently some relative of hers, and 22-year-old George Roe, a farmer.14
     Almyra and Dyar appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Greensbrug, Decatur Co., Indiana, enumerated 4 Jul 1860, reporting real estate valued at $13,000 and personal estate of $3,615. Their children Sophronia, Jasper and Martha were listed as living with them, as were two 18-year-old farm laborers, John M Freeman and William Cutter.15
     Almyra and Dyar appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Greensbrug, Decatur Co., Indiana, enumerated 29 Jun 1870, reporting real estate valued at $17,400 and personal estate of $8,000. Their children Jasper and Martha were listed as living with them, as was 17-year-old Thomas Raedy, apparently a farm apprentice.16
     Almyra and Dyar appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Decatur Co., Indiana, enumerated 8 Jun 1880. Their daughter Martha was listed as living with them, as is Jammie Taemain, age 17, who is shown as adopted and would appear to be some relative of hers, and his sister's son, William F. Christy, who is shown as a widower, with no occupation. Their son Jasper and his young family were apparently living close by, as they are listed next.17
     Almyra died on 22 Aug 1885 in Greensburg, Decatur Co., Indiana, at age 75.9,10,11 She was buried in Sand Creek Cemetery, Greensburg, Indiana.12
