     Amanda Melvina Fitzallen Toot was born on 11 Mar 1820 in Virginia.6,7,8
     Amanda was named an heir in the will of Adam Toot dated 12 Nov 1835, to receive two good feather beds and furniture, and a cow and calf, not to be reflected in the division of the estate described later. In addition, to be boarded, clothed, educated and supported from the estate until reaching the age of 21 or marrying, and a equal share of the remaining estate with her siblings.13
     Amanda purchased a silver ladle, 12 silver spoons, and a bureau for a total of $34.25 at the sale of her father's estate on 5 Nov 1839.14
     Amanda married William Ephraim Bouldin, son of Stith Bouldin, on 16 Mar 1842 in Halifax Co., Virginia, with John Hank officiating.9,10,11
     Her husband died on 27 Jul 1846.15
