     Robert H. Jessup was born on 29 Aug 1872 in Pennsylvania.6,7,8 He married Agnes Scott about 1898.9,10,11 He died in 1954.2 He was buried in Montrose Cemetery, Montrose, Susquehanna Co., Pennsylvania, in the family plot with his wife.2

     He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Montrose, Susquehanna Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of his parents, Hunting Cooper Jessup and Marina Modena Cobb.3
     Robert and Agnes Scott appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Scranton, Lackawanna Co., Pennsylvania, at 1119 Mulberry St., enumerated 11 Jun 1900, reporting that they rented their home.12 Robert and Agnes appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Scranton, Lackawanna Co., Pennsylvania, at 830 Webster Ave., enumerated 18 Apr 1910, reporting that they owned their home. Josephine Luks, an 18-year-old servant is listed as living with them.13
     Robert and Agnes moved to Detroit between 1910 and 1920, then to the New York City area by 1930, apparently following his employment. They appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan, at 44 Ferry Ave. West, enumerated 8 Jan 1920, reporting that they rented their home.14
     Robert and Agnes appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Livingston, Richmond Co., New York, at 100 Bard Ave., enumerated 15 Apr 1930, boarding with Emma C. Woolverton, with her four adult children, two servants and a handyman, and 14 other boarders.15
     He was an insurance agent in 1900, and a real estate agent with his own agency in Scranton by 1910.16,17 By 1920 he was manager of an insurance department in Michigan, and by 1930 an assistant manager for an insurance company in New York.18,19
