     William T. White was born about 1837 in Kentucky.3
     William married Modena A. Clark, daughter of James Clark and Mary Willard Cobb, on 30 Apr 1861 in Lyon Co., Kentucky.4,5 He was a dry goods merchant.2
     William and Modena A. Clark appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Elkton, Todd Co., Kentucky, enumerated 19 Jul 1870, reporting real estate valued at $1000 and personal estate of $2000. Their children William, Mattie and Henry were listed as living with them.2
     William apparently died before 1880, as he does not appear in the 1880 census with his family.6
