     Henry Jefferson Cobb was born on 23 Oct 1887 in Kuttawa, Lyon Co., Kentucky.8,9,10
     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Kuttawa, Lyon Co., Kentucky, in the household of his parents, Jefferson Davis Cobb and Mary Ellen Kinsolving.5
     He was a farm laborer, apparently on the family farm, at age 12.14
     He moved to Texas with his parents.
     Henry married Caroline Lucinda Pickens, daughter of John Andrew Pickens and Annie E. Meggs, on 21 Feb 1908 in Mills Co., Texas, with Rev. J. S. Bowles officiating.11,12
     Henry and Caroline appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Mills Co., Texas, enumerated 28 Apr 1910, reporting that they rented their farm. Their son Wilford was listed as living with them.2
     He was a farmer initially after moving to Texas. He then worked for Walker- Smith Grocery Co., transferred to Goldthwaite, then Midland, then in 1918 to Corpus Christi. He became a retail, later a wholesale, salesman for the firm. By 1930 he was an automobile salesman.15,16,17,18
     Henry registered for the draft for World War I on 5 Jun 1917, while living in Midland Co., Texas, reporting he was employed as a shipping clerk at Walker-Smith Grocery Company in Midland.19
     Henry and Caroline moved their family to Nueces Co. in 1918. They appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Corpus Christi, Nueces Co., Texas, at 1402 Comanche, enumerated 17 Jan 1920, reporting that the family rented its home. Their children Wilford, Ailene, Harold, Max and Irvin were listed as living with them.20
     Henry and Caroline appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Corpus Christi, Nueces Co., Texas, at 312 Carrizo, enumerated 11 Apr 1930. Their children Wilford, Ailene, Harold, Max and Irvin were listed as living with them.21
     He began working in law enforcement before 1940. In 1940 he was a special officer at a night club, reporting he had worked 56 hours the last week of March, and 52 weeks the prior year, earning $500. He joined the Corpus Christi police force, then about 1942 became a deputy at the Nueces Co. Sheriff's Department.22,23,24
     Henry and Caroline appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Corpus Christi, Nueces Co., Texas, at 1216 Stillman, enumerated 6 Apr 1940, reporting that they rented their home, for $35 per month, and had lived in the same city in 1935. Their children Ailene and Irvin were listed as living with them.25
     Henry died on 29 Sep 1966 in Corpus Christi, Nueces Co., Texas, at age 78.13 He was buried on 1 Oct 1966 in Rose Hill Cemetery, Corpus Christi, Nueces Co., Texas.4
