Narrative:

Belle Cobb was born about 1854 in Illinois.1
She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Dycusburg, Crittenden Co., Kentucky, in the household of her parents, Caleb Clark Cobb and Louisa Berry Long.1,3
Belle does not appear in the 1870 census of her supposed mother, Louisa Berry Long, when she would have been about 16 years old. She may have died by then, she may have married although she would have been pretty young for that, or she may have been living elsewhere. In any case, not other record of her has been found.4

Research Note, 19 May 2021:
The only evidence that Belle was the daughter of Caleb and Louisa is that she is listed in their household in the 1860 census, which does not show relationships, with the surname Cobb. She is shown as born in Illinois while her parents were not know to have lived there, but Louisa did have two sisters living there at the time, so it is possible she went there to give birth.1
