     Frederick Legree was born on 2 Dec 1879 in Cababogie, Renfrew Co., Ontario, Canada.5,6,7
     He appeared on the 1891 Census of E. Bonfield, Nipissing, Ontario, in the household of his parents, Charles Legree and Catherine Bovin.13
     Frederick married Margaret J. Kirkland, daughter of James Kirkland and Mary Jane Taylor, on 24 Dec 1906 in Nipissing, Ontario.8,9,10
     Frederick and Margaret appeared on the 1911 Census of Cobalt, Nipissing, in Ontario, at 11 Cobalt St.. Their son Wilburn was listed as living with them.2
     Frederick and Margaret, and their sons Wilburn and Homer, immigrated to the United States in 1919.14,15 They appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan, at 1527 Lyon St., enumerated 7 Jan 1920, reporting that they owned their home, which was mortgaged. Their children Wilburn and Homer were listed as living with them, as was Daniel Bradley, an auto engineer, age 57, also from Canada.14
     He was a prospector in Canada, and carpenter after immigrating to the United States.16,17,18
     Frederick and Margaret appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan, at 3523 Alexander St., enumerated 19 Apr 1930, reporting they owned a home valued at $3,500, and did not own a radio. Their children Wilburn, Homer and Kathryn were listed as living with them.15
     Frederick and Margaret appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan, enumerated 3 Apr 1940, reporting they owned a home valued at $2,500. Their children Homer and Kathryn were listed as living with them, They reported that they had all lived in the same city in 1935.19
     By 1930 he was a janitor at a high school, and in 1940 was a watchman at public schools. In the 1940 census he reported he had worked 50 hours the last week of March, and had worked 50 weeks the previous year, earning $1,500.20,19
     Frederick registered for the draft for World War II on 24 Apr 1942, while living at 524 E. Rankin, Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan, reporting he was employed by the board of education.21
     Frederick and Margaret appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm.22
     Frederick died on 8 Sep 1959 at age 79.11 He was buried in Gracelawn Cemetery, Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan.12
