Narrative:

Geraldine L. Jacob was born about 1827 in Caldwell Co., Kentucky.4,5,6
She was probably the female under age 5 listed in the household of her father, Arnold Jacob, in the 1830 Federal Census of Caldwell Co., Kentucky.14 She was probably the female age 10 to 15 listed in the household of her father in the 1830 Federal Census of Caldwell Co., Kentucky.15
Geraldine married Rufus K. Mims, son of Linah Mims and Rebeccah Davis, on 20 Dec 1847 in Caldwell Co., Kentucky.7,8,9
Geraldine and Rufus appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of District No. 1, Caldwell Co., Kentucky, enumerated 14 Sep 1850, reporting real estate of $3100, and four slaves, a 40-year-old female and an 11-year-old male, and females aged 9 and 5. Their daughter Luella was listed as living with them, as was Mary Harris, age 19.16,17

Research Note, 6 Aug 2017:

Of the children of Arnold Jacob and Cynthia Sprigg shown here direct evidence that they are the parents has been found only for Augustus; the court proceedings assigning the administrator of his estate names his father. The conclusion that Elvira, Everard, Adela, and Geraldine were also their children has been reached from indirect evidence. No other Jacob has been found in the Caldwell Co. censuses early enough to have been their father. The number and ages of the children in Arnold's households in the 1810 through 1830 censuses matches perfectly with the ages of each of them. Further, Everand acted as administrator of Augustus's estate, Geraldine's husband was guardian for his children, Geraldine's daughters lived with Elvira after her death, and Cynthia moved in the Elvira after the death of her husband.20,21,22,14,23
