     Maria Gapsch and Henry Gapsch were twins.16,17 She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Carondelet Twp., St. Louis Co., Missouri, in the household of her parents, Moritz G. Gapsch and Johanna Pruetzel.18 She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Carondelet Twp., Missouri in the household of her parents.4 She appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Affton, Missouri in the household of her parents.19
     Maria and Philip L. Schmidt appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Carondelet Twp., St. Louis Co., Missouri, at Keeler Rd., enumerated 19 Apr 1930, reporting that the couple owned a home valued at $6,000 and did not own a radio.20
     Maria and Philip were living in Rural Rt. #1, De Soto, Jefferson Co., Missouri, at the time of her death.5
