Narrative:

     Ada V. Cavanah was born on 17 Mar 1864 in Union Co., Kentucky.7,8,9
     She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Webster Co., Kentucky, in the household of her parents, Lorenza D. Cavanah and Susan R. Higginson.16 She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Clayville, Webster Co., Kentucky, in the household of her parents.5
     Ada married first Frank Cobb on 3 Feb 1885 in Gallatin Co., Illinois.10,11
     Frank deserted Ada "soon after" their marriage, causing "bad blood" between their families. On 1 Apr 1889, Frank attacked Ada's younger brother Chester on the veranda above Sigler's store in Boxville, Kentucky. He fired two shots before Chester could draw is pistol, then both fired until their pistols were empty. Frank died within minutes from a shot that pierced his left breast just above the heart. Chester was wounded in his right shoulder and left ankle, but recovered. He was acquitted after an examining trial found he acted in self-defense.17,18
     Her husband died on 1 Apr 1893 in Boxville, Union Co., Kentucky.19
     She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Driskill, Livingston Co., Kentucky, in the household of Jules Spuryear and Ida U. Cavanah, her sister and her husband, with her son, Edward.20
     Ada was living in Bucksville at the time of her second marriage.21
     Ada married second John B. Wild on 2 Mar 1904 in Paducah, McCracken Co., Kentucky.12,13,14 She appeared with her husband, John B. Wild, on the 1910 Federal Census of Paducah, McCracken Co., Kentucky, in the household of Edward Lloyd Cobb, her son.22
     Ada and John appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Springfield, Greene Co., Missouri, at 620 South Nettleton St., enumerated 8 Jan 1920, reporting that they owned their home. Her grandson Oscar was listed as living with them.23
     Ada died on 7 Feb 1929 in Mayfield, Graves Co., Kentucky, at age 64, of accidental burns.15 She was buried on 9 Feb 1929 in Palistine Cemetery, Fulton, Kentucky.15
