Caldwell County Deeds

This page updated 16 Nov 2010

Robert Livingston Cobb & Gideon Dyer Cobb, Jr.

The records below focus on deeds involving Robert Livingston Cobb and his younger brother Gideon Dyer Cobb, sons of Gideon Dyer Cobb and Modena Chittenden Clark. Robert was born in 1804 in Eddyville and died in 1875 in Paducah. Gideon was born in 1818 and died in 1871, in Eddyville.

I have endeavored to find all deeds involving them from the establishment of Caldwell Co. on 1 May 1809 through 1856, but some may have been missed or not recorded. Deeds after 1 Apr 1854 for properties near Eddyville would have been recorded in Lyon Co.

Deeds of these two are grouped together here because they were in business together for many years and many of these transactions involved both of them.

All parties were shown as "of" Eddyville and/or Caldwell Co. unless stated otherwise below.
